Computer Aided Design

Project | 01

I have learned the principals of 2-D and 3-D digital drafting using Auto-CAD to create renderings of several of the works (chairs and structures) designed by Ludwig Mies van der Rohe.
1) The Brno Chair is a modernist cantilever chair designed by Ludwig Mies van der Rohe in 1929. Scale 1:10
2) The Weissenhoff Chair is a modernist cantilever chair designed by van der Rohe in 1927. Scale 1:10
3) The Barcelona Chair was designed by  van der Rohe and Lilly Reich. It was originally designed for the German Pavilion in the International Exposition of 1929,  hosted by Barcelona,  Scale 1:10
4) The Barcelona Pavilion was designed by van der Rohe as the German National Pavilion for the 1929 Barcelona International Exhibition, held on Montjuïc. Scale 1:200
5) and 6) Perspective drawings of the Barcelona Pavilion
 7) The Tugendhat House (1929-1930), built of reinforced concrete, designed by van der Rohe, is an icon of modernism. Scale 1:250.
8) and 9) The Farnsworth House (designed by van der Rohe in 1945 and constructed in 1951) juxtaposes the Modern concrete structure with the surrounding natural environment. Floor plan, elevations, details, and a three-dimensional rendering.
